International advancement
Participation guidelines
General rules,
made clear.
These general participation rules are carried forward from the previous season. Competition-specific manuals and the final 2026–2027 guide take precedence where requirements differ.
Start registration- 01
Teams must include Kuwaiti nationals, or include two or more Kuwaiti nationals to receive priority for KNRC-supported advancement opportunities.
- 02
University teams may include students of any nationality. If a university team qualifies for the VEX Worlds Championship, its institution is responsible for facilitating and supporting student travel and participation.
- 03
Each team must have at least two members. Requirements for each category—including VEX IQ, V5, VEX U, Drones, Open Innovation, and Hydrogen—must be followed.
- 04
Every team must have a designated adult supervisor or coach officially affiliated with the participating institution.
- 05
Organizations may register more than one team while registration is open, provided every team meets the competition requirements.
- 06
Teams may participate in more than one KNRC competition category when event dates do not conflict.
- 07
If registration exceeds capacity, KNRC may ask institutions to reduce their team count to ensure fair participation across the community.
- 08
A maximum number of teams per institution may be set each season according to capacity and demand.
- 09
A coach may not serve as the main supervisor for more than one team in the same competition category.
