If a team wins more than one award, it will receive only the highest-value cash prize. A team will not receive two cash prizes.
Award categories, qualification places and prize formats are subject to final confirmation and the applicable competition rules. The stated total excludes in-kind awards, educational support, equipment and partner-provided gifts.

Participation guidelines
General rules,
made clear.
These conditions apply to 2026–2027 registrations and operate alongside the official manuals and requirements for each competition.
Start registration- 01
A team must include at least two Kuwaiti students to qualify for KNRC coverage of the USD 200 participation fee. If a team qualifies for an international competition, KNRC travel support is limited to Kuwaiti students; non-Kuwaiti students may participate with support from their school or institution.
- 02
University teams may include students of any nationality. KNRC travel support is limited to eligible Kuwaiti students; the participating institution is responsible for facilitating and supporting travel and participation for other students.
- 03
The minimum team size is three students for VEX IQ and two students for VEX V5 and Aerial Drones. The principal team may include a maximum of four students; additional students may be registered as reserves or team volunteers.
- 04
Every team must have a designated adult supervisor or coach officially affiliated with the participating institution.
- 05
Organizations may register more than one team while registration is open, provided every team meets the competition requirements and has a different coach.
- 06
Teams may participate in more than one KNRC competition category when event dates do not conflict.
- 07
If registration exceeds capacity, KNRC may ask institutions to reduce their team count to ensure fair participation across the community.
- 08
A maximum number of teams per institution may be set each season according to capacity and demand.
- 09
A coach may be responsible for only one team. An additional team must have a different coach, who must be added through the registration system.
- 10
All registrations are subject to review. Teams that do not satisfy the applicable registration and eligibility requirements may not be accepted.
- 11
After registration closes, accepted teams will receive an email outlining the next steps, required data completion, Scrimmage information and training hours.
