General Rules and Guidelines

  • Teams must include Kuwaiti nationals, or be composed of two or more Kuwaiti nationals to be prioritized for KNRC-supported advancement opportunities.
  • University teams may include students of any nationality. However, if a university team qualifies for the VEX Worlds Championship, the participating institution will be responsible for facilitating and supporting its students’ travel and participation.
  • Each team must consist of a minimum of two (2) members, as outlined in the National Robotics Competition 2025–2026 Guide. Specific category requirements (IQ, VRC, VEX U, Drones, etc.) must be followed.
  • Every team must have a designated adult supervisor/coach who is officially affiliated with the participating institution.
  • Organizations may register more than one team, provided that all teams meet competition requirements and registration remains open.
  • Teams may participate in more than one KNRC competition category, as long as event dates do not conflict.
  • If the number of registered teams exceeds the allowed capacity, KNRC reserves the right to request institutions to reduce the number of teams to ensure fair participation across the community.
  • A maximum number of teams per institution may be determined each season depending on capacity and demand.
  • A coach may not serve as the main supervisor for more than one team in the same competition category.
